This new
course addressed a wide range of issues covering computers as
mediators of cognitive development; social development and identity;
and equity in education and access to computing technologies.
Students presented new topics each week related to the readings.
The class also visited Plugged In in East Palo Alto to observe
a program working to address the Digital Divide for local community
members.
