We
investigated recent studies of schools that exceed expectations
in producing desired results and examined research methodologies,
findings of studies and efforts to implement reform. We analyzed
components of "good" schools such as effective teaching, leadership,
organizational processes, parent and community involvement,
and school cultures. In small groups, we researched good schools
in the Bay Area, wrote a research paper and presented our findings
to the class.
