We created View for our masters’ project in the Learning, Design, and Technology program at Stanford University.

We took our approach and concepts for museum learning out of our heads and off of paper by creating
prototypes and taking them to users. Each of these testing sessions provided invaluable insight into the
user and the prototype which was then incorporated into the next prototype. Throughout this process
our questions about the user’s relationship to our prototype became more specific and the prototypes
themselves more functional.

Tablet based with working activities and prototype audio   Same as prototype 3 with the addition of the integrated eBeam technology for hotspots activity

Findings:
  • Users need audio control to replay missed information work
  • Became confused because of inconsistent navigation
  • Were afraid of dropping device
  Findings:
  • Users found audio to be informative and a good length
  • Need better connections between menu options and content
  • Actions required to do hotspots activity were awkward
