Description

The Buck Institute of Education (BIE) has partnered up with the Center for Highly Interactive Computing in Education (Hi-CE), at the University of Michigan, to create a web-based simulation that will accompany one of BIE's Problem Based Economics (PBE) unit.

The PBE is focused facilitating the teaching of economics to high school students. PBE encompasses seven learning programs; one of them is The High School Food Court, which is the spotlight of our study. The High School Food Court leverages technology to design an application that creates surveys for Palm handheld devices to collect, analyze, and illustrate real-world economics based problems. The application is known as the Economic Analysis and Tally System (EATS).
