 Mimio Whiteboard Digitzer
What is it?
Virtual Ink Corporation has developed an
interesting device called Mimio that
converts a standard whiteboard into a
digital workspace. Using a device that is
suction-cup attached to your whiteboard
and whiteboard pens in special holders,
the strokes that you draw on the
whiteboard are captured digitally on
whiteboard software. This is a great way
to capture and share drawings over the
internet in real time.
Replacing the pens with a pointer, the
Mimio can be used in "mouse mode".
With an LCD projector (not included)
shining your computer's video display
onto a whiteboard, the mimio "mousepen"
behaves like a regular mouse, allowing
the presenter to control the display while
standing at the whiteboard.
