Games for Health

This was an exciting showing of different ways people use to promote exercise, bloodsugar management, weight loss, and post traumatic stress using gaming. Today I met Noah Falstein, Deb Lieberman, Russell Shilling, Robert Swain and several others. Noah is the author of the 400 rules of game design. He also contributed to the HopeLab game. Just last week Noah was on a plane talking to an epidemiologist from the CDC. The conference was organized by Ben Sawyer sponsored by Tatrc and and the ESA. Tatrc manages billions of dollars from the goernment to research cutting edge "stuff". I learned about Forterra, Inc is a Stanford organization that created a nuclear preparedness game. Deb Lieberman researches DDR and why people play.
