UX in Gaming - My unconference presentation idea
I just saw DCamp, an unconference happening in May. It's a camp where attendees propose the agenda. Immediately I wanted to give a talk on my first 5 months in the game industry and how I see user experience (UX) design fits into the game design world. I would be fresh from E3 and have ton's of pictures and insights to share. Some points I would cover would be: premadonnas and the origins of ideas, the old guard vs the new pups, use of personas, discovering what women want, and proving the value of pre-production user feedback. In the end I want to talk about what UX has to offer game design and how it could lead us to more innovative games that can appeal to a broader market.
