Mouse in the City (sketch)

I'm taking a sketching class. Here is a picture of my first sketch for my virtual refrigerator door. The assignment was to build a house for a bachelor mouse using lego blocks. It shows a mouse in a smoking jacket holding a martini glass on the roof top of his skyscaper penthouse. It gives a fish eye perspective so you are looking down onto him. I wanted to be different than the other students so I tackled a 3 point perspective drawing for my first assignment. I wanted to emphasize the setting more than the detail of his apartment. I realized I have a natural sense of dimension, probably from playing so many video games and using 3D tools. I did this before our lesson on perspective and shadow. My teachers were very impressed. The artists at work thought it was cute and where surprised that it was my first.
