Actually, these are not your classmates, they are the lead characters from the English Exchange games, songs, and activities.

English Exchange is a multimedia curriculum that teaches English to elementary school children in Asian countries. There are 6 levels (only 2 exist in the current product) of curriculum with 10 units per level. Each of the 10 units contains numerous lesson plans, online exercises, and paper worksheets. Each unit is designed around a theme, such as colors, animals, etc., to promote context-based learning, and to build repetition of key components of English.

By the end of the curriculum, students should be able to:
1. Master 1500 English words
2. Comprehend basic English sounds and phonemes
3. Converse fluently in all common situations

Our User Study focused on the levels of engagement and satisfaction with the CD-ROM component of the English Exchange curriculum. Engagement and satisfaction are critical to learner motivation. English Exchange expects students to use the product on their own, so the games, songs, and lessons must be motivating for children to choose English Exchange over other activities.
