B. Exploration of f(x) = ekx + c

Graph the following functions on a single graph using the online graphing tool.

  • f(x) = e-x + 2
  • g(x) = e-2x + 2
  • h(x) = e-3x + 2

 

Referring to the graphs, answer the following:

1.  What value do each of these three function approach when x > 5?

2.  Why do you think this happens?
