PBL as an evolving entity
Conceptual Framework:
The master builder's aterlier was the vision behind the integrated
research and curriculum program on AEC global team work. The conceptual
framework was based on situative and constructivist perspectives, weaving
in many scaffolding activities to aid the learning. For example, structure
activities such as well-planned and scheduled informal project review
sessions with mentor, which are called fishbowl sessions; role modeling
activities, which bring in signature projects and let the mentor discuss
them. Students learn by observing the practioners and engage in the teamwork
activities.

An Evolving entity: Renate sees PBL as
an organic, living and evolving entity. New ideas are evolving every year
by studying how learners behave and interact in this e-learning environment.
At the same time, new technolgies are invented. Integrating new ideas
and new technologies helped the program matures and evolves continuously
in the past 9 years.
