the meaning of Success
Challenges
Meaning of Success
Challenges
- Biggest
Challenge: The biggest challenge was to test out her vision
of PBL nine years ago. "It was a successful experiment." Renate
Smiled.
- Challenges
on locating equipment, space, people, time, responsibility, training:
"These are the challenges that any faculty that is planning to
develop PBL will face. The more you understand its challenges, the better
you'll prepare with contingency plan. Institution supports is the most
critical, without institutional backing and support, it is almost like
running against the wall."
- Challenges
on collocatedness: "I've learnt a lot by developing and
establishing the program over the years, I've developed a number of
strategies to work with different partners worldwide. Be able to establish
collaboration networks on a case by case basis. Every university has
its own validation and organizational structure and culture. Each university
has its national contextual constraints and opportunities. So there
is no "one-fix-all" model. Key is to identify the champion
of different person in respective university who really wants to establish
that partnership and then work with him or her towards that goal."
