Will it work?

There is general agreement that visual skills are necessary in the modern age. Not only professional designers, mathematicians, and scientists, but also anyone who makes presentations needs to master basic visual principles. In this the age of PowerPoint, a presentation that is visually well-done makes all the difference.

However, the skills that are taught are so general that it is difficult to evaluate the efficacy of the instruction. Will people really be able to make better presentations after interacting with the software? Will chemistry students be understand chirality better after practicing on rotations of cubes? Will artists produce better work based on their new appreciation of spatial relationships? Our hypothesis is that the software will work as intended to produce the desired results for serious learners in these areas. The skills that VizAbility addresses are the ones that these types of learners need. However, our hypothesis will be validated only after extensive user testing.
