Here are some random pictures of some of my random kids. I take no credit for the photographic quality and will one day get myself to a scanner and add more!
Alicia and Jon are now successful college students. They helped me keep my sanity during my year out of the classroom while they almost killed each other.
While I was out of the classroom, I did check up on my newly sophomore babies to make sure they were still using what they knew.
Some of them (Hyrum and Andrew) even seemed to enjoy it.
Katherine and I may not have shared a love for computers - she's just posing here - but we did share a love for music and poetry.
I got to teach Nathan for about three days before the district decided to relocate me, but I was able to appreciate the way he lived his own life in fleeting moments in the hall.
Many of my kids played in bands - some stayed local to Allen, but others took me to biker bars in Deep Ellum.

I worked with Jason and Jacob to chronicle the band's adventures in the Macy's Thanksgiving Dal Parade in 1998. They took the digital camera and the laptop and sent me pics each night from the hotel room.

Last but certainly not least are Brooke and Adam. This was the best picture the Brooke would let me take and this is Adam's picture as captain of the wrestling team (trying to look mean). I shared a love of literature and movies with Brooke and a dry sense of humor with Adam. They are two of the kids that I was able to teach for two years - lots of bonding there!
